- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic for about 5 minutes until soft and aromatic.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and brown for about 7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently. Gradually add the reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, ensuring each piece is well coated. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan or fresh parsley.
Notes
