Description
A simple, creamy chicken and gravy recipe cooked in a Crockpot, perfect for cozy evenings and busy families.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooked rice or mashed potatoes, for serving
Instructions
- Set the Crockpot to low or high, depending on available time. Place the chicken breasts directly into the Crockpot and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch dressing mix, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth and well blended.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is cooked and tender.
Notes
For thicker gravy, stir in a cornstarch slurry during the last 30 minutes. Ensure space for even cooking and shred the chicken gently to keep it moist.
