  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup ketchup (plus extra for glazing)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, and the lightly beaten egg in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir until just combined.
