  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce or balsamic glaze for added depth

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the onions: In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, sugar, and salt, cooking for 20-25 minutes until golden and caramelized. Stir in minced garlic for the last few minutes.
  2. Add orzo and chicken: Sprinkle the orzo in the skillet, lightly toasting for about 2 minutes. Add shredded chicken, thyme, and black pepper, and mix well.
