Description
A simple and comforting ground turkey and potato skillet that wraps your family in warmth with every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Optional spices (e.g., paprika, cumin, or herbs)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent (3-5 minutes).
- Stir in the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked through (5-7 minutes). Add any optional spices.
- Add the diced potatoes to the skillet, stirring to coat. Cook until tender and slightly crispy (15-20 minutes), adding a splash of broth or water if needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
Don’t rush the browning of the turkey for deeper flavor, and keep the potatoes uniform for even cooking.
