Description

A vibrant herbaceous lemonade blending floral lavender with zesty lemons. This sophisticated yet easy drink balances sweet, tart, and aromatic notes, perfect for summer gatherings or afternoons on the patio. Adapted for dietary needs with no alcohol or pork.


Ingredients

Scale

1 cup fresh or ½ cup dried French lavender buds
1½ cups water (for infusion)
68 medium organic lemons
6 cups filtered water
1½ cups sweetener (honey, sugar, or agave nectar)


Instructions

Steep lavender buds in 1½ cups hot (not boiling) water for 10 minutes
Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher
Add chosen sweetener to the lavender water and stir until dissolved
Juice lemons (yield ~1–1½ cups) and add to pitcher
Pour in 6 cups filtered water to dilute
Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving
Serve over ice with lemon slices if desired

Notes

Use culinary-grade lavender to avoid bitter non-edible varieties
Adjust sweetener to taste using the honey/agave swap options
Extra lavender syrup can be frozen in ice cube trays for future use
Ripened Meyer lemons add a sweeter flavor profile
Strain again if serving immediately to remove fine lavender particles
