- 4 slices of your favorite bread
- 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- Tomato soup for dipping
Instructions
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes from your bread slices.
- Spread butter on one side of each heart-shaped bread slice and assemble sandwiches with cheese in between.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Notes
For added flavor, use whole grain or sourdough bread, mix cheese types, or add veggies inside the sandwiches. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze ungrilled sandwiches for up to a month.
