- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 10 oz linguine (substitutable with spaghetti or rice noodles)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat over medium and add ground beef; cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking apart with a spoon.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and stir for 1 minute.
- Stir in brown sugar, broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water; add to skillet and stir until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add cooked linguine and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
