Description
A comforting one-pot dish featuring creamy pasta, savory beef, and fragrant garlic, perfect for busy nights and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 2 cups milk (or heavy cream)
- 12 ounces (340g) pasta (such as penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (or dairy-free cheese)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5-6 minutes until browned. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and your choice of milk, stirring to combine. Add the pasta and Italian seasoning, ensuring most pasta is submerged. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese and butter. Mix until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and add milk or broth to achieve desired sauce texture. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken and low-fat milk. Customize with your favorite pasta and adjust spice levels as desired.
