- 14.5 tbsp salted butter, melted & cooled slightly (206 grams)
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed (163 grams)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (156 grams)
- 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled or weighed (390 grams)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 35 pieces Werther’s soft caramels
Instructions
- Make the Cookie Dough: Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl and mix in the sugars, then whisk in the vanilla and eggs. Gradually blend in dry ingredients and fold in the chocolate chips.
- Rest the Dough: Chill the dough for 20 minutes in the fridge or freezer.
- Prep Cookie Dough Balls and Bake: Preheat oven to 365°F (185°C). Scoop and flatten dough, encasing caramels inside. Bake for 10-12 minutes, allowing cookies to remain a little underdone in the center.
