- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 6 slices of bacon (or beef/turkey bacon), cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a pie dish with the pre-made crust.
- Layer thinly sliced potatoes and onions in a bowl, adding crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, then pour the mixture into the prepared crust and dot with butter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the potatoes are tender. Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Adjust types of cheese for a unique flavor.
