  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan with grease and flour or parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl and then add granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Mix the topping ingredients together and sprinkle them over the batter.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
