- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz noodles (use rice noodles or egg noodles)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add red chili flakes if desired.
- Toss chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, use low-sodium soy sauce or substitute honey with maple syrup. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
